Matt Earley
Matt fancies himself a top blogger, computer jockey, and pigeon Spanish speaker at JC Co-op.
He enjoys hanging out with his daughters and better half as well as traveling to meet with growers, doing yoga, reading, riding his clunky bike, and acting out.
Matt hopes to someday live in the country or at least in a house that does not sit 25 feet from railroad tracks.
Matt is from KY and prefers the term "y'all" to "you guys".
Matt is a bona fide Kentucky Colonel.

Staying busy
After tours through Cincy and Little Rock, am back in KY for good with the wifey and 2 daughters. Seems like yesterday you and I were riding the ole Lex-Van to school!
How about a where are they now:
Danny Farr. Where in god's name is that man?!
Hey Wendell & Matt from Madison
Hey Wendell & Matt, fellow St. Leo's school mates.
I have visited JC from time to time now that I live in Madison.
Just Coffee did a fundraiser for the Veterans Affairs Kids Center of which I am on the Board of Directors and created a few cool blends of coffee beans for us. They used kid art for labels. It was way cool & Matt did an awesome job.
It is really interesting to learn about Matt's business. St. Leo's & Sister Lenore would be proud. Hope all is well with you both.
Wendell, come visit us in Madison! Matt, I have been spreading the word about you!

Matt: John Thompson class of '87. Saw Stacey at her reunion and she gave me this site. Glad to see that you are up to something productive. I am having lunch w/Pat Green today to discuss you further. I hope your ears aren’t burning.

Hey John!
Wow, good to hear from you. When I read your note I instantly flashed back to freshman year when you convinved me to write the lyrics to "Someday Lady You'll Accompany Me" as a love note to the cute girl your older brother was dating. I still can't believe she did not go for it.
Tell Pat "hey" and I hope you all are doing well.
Take care...

Trying your coffee
Phew! I was worried about the math quiz. As with others I heard about what you are up to from Stacey at the reunion. I'm placing my first order today and can't wait to try it out. Hope life is going great for you. Julie Watts-Baker
Hey...
Hi Julie:
What are you up to these days? Sounds like I missed a good time at the reunion shindig. We'll get your coffee out by Friday morn, I hope you like it. I'll send some special "bonus" stuff too!
Take care...
-Matt
Happy coffee
Hey! Happy holidays! The coffee was great. I noticed they carry it at Good Foods Coop.
Hey matt its c.w. whats up dog?
Hey matt, long time no see. Got a good friend who is now roasting beans for personal use. Remember john the bass player for the Mojo Filter Kings? Him and his wife now live in Cincinnati, but he brings me an occasional bag of fresh roasted beans, i gave him this website, so he'll probably be ordering something soon, anyhoo, just wanted to say hi, c.w.

Hey, Matt, it was good to see you at Melissa's a few months ago. Been a long time. I would love to catch up with you and all your news. Drop me a line at mafugate@gmail.com. You can read about the business I started at www.happy-tails.biz. Hope all is well.

Hi Matt
Hope you and the family are doing well. Give B a call sometime, so she knows you're still around. Anyway, I was just checking in to order some more coffee and thought I'd say "hi".
Take care, ex-cousin Clark
Hellooo from way back...
Hi Matt,
Gad-don't MAKE me do math.
Your mom gave me a quick synopsis of your goings on--showed me children pictures--very cute.
Thanks for your good wishes about my dad.
Are you in Lex. at any time during the year? I saw Chris and Andy at Christmas.
Write back and maybe give me a non-work e-mail address, if you please....
Meg
Hey Meg!
Good to hear from you.
You can write me at the "general inquiries" contact on the site (under "about us"). I hesitate to give an e-mail knowing that the spam robots are prowling around.
Wow, that statement would sound like a sci-fi paranoid delusion in 1987...

Maron
Hey Matt,
I'm the guy from Kessenich's, & thought you would like to know that it made my day (and made my boss's) when Marc read your note.
Now, is it possible to get some Morning Sedition, or Breakroom live labeled coffee?

St. Leo's Holy Blend
Matt, I think you should come up with the "St. Leo's Holy Blend..."
The Veterans Affairs Kids Centers Blends were highly popular and successful, complete with the kid art.
I am sure some old St. Leo alum would gladly donate some art and be glad to indulge.
Keep up the good work.

Mojo Filter Kings cd
Hello Matt. I have been looking for a Mojo Filter Kings cd for a while and there are no more in print or just none available where I live. Do you have any idea where I can get one? Thank you for any info!!
From a big fan, Kelly
Mojo Filter Kings
Hello. I am Scott Allen of the former Mojo Filter Kings. The CDs are rare. Some of my songs with the Mojo Filter Kings are available on iTunes. As far as getting an actual CD I just don't have any to spare. I could burn you a copy. Also, I might contact the boys and see how they'd feel about making all the music available on iTunes. For more information find me on facebook, youtube or write seacolefields2004@yahoo. Peace.
Awesome Presentation!
Hi there!
I'd just like to thank Matt Earley for such an amazing presentation that he gave for my Community & Environmental Sociology class just last week! I was blown away by Just Coffee's story, along with the fairtrade concept, the transparency of your business, and the genuine care that you guys have for everybody involved. I hope someday I'll see more local places with the same missions! I'm just a freshman, but I am so interested in what you guys are doing! Keep up the awesome work!

FLO vs FUNDEPPO perception of empowerment project
Hi Matt
Im a Danish student currently working on a project (with 3 others) on why CLAC made "their own way" by creating the Small Producer Symbol instead of making changes through FLOs "multistakeholder and structurally inclusive structure".
Im especially interested in FLO vs CLAC perception of empowerment. In academia, theory suggests that the expression has a political orientation: that is, in one end you have a liberal perception which is focused on the individual skill to make better status (often used in management theory) and at the other, a collective perception that sees disempowerment as a prerequisite to empowerment and is focused on unequal powerrelations in society.
How do you see the difference between FLO and CLAC perception on empowerment? And how is this expressed in the (different) ways they operate or in the way they make standards? If you have any reference og litterature on the subject, I would be thankful.
btw, maybe you have email address I could write you on instead?
Best Regards
