Just Coffee peoples are sporty. And we like to support some of the sporty people around us. Here are some recent stories about our own recreational activities, and others that we've sponsored and supported in our comunity.
The US Bike Polo Championships in Madison this Weekend
Posted by Matt Earley at about 1pm on Thursday July 15, 2010This weekend Madison will host the US Hardcourt Bike Polo Championships at the MATC Truax campus tennis courts. The weekend will feature many skinny-jeaned juggernauts of bike polo including our comrades-- Heavy Kev and the Hunter Boys. The team JC Jackalberry Crush will be in it to win it, so please witness.
The action starts Friday morning at 10am with matches all day. On Saturday the jousting begins at 10am and will continue Sunday it will begin at 11am.
Please come out and see this spectacle-- it will do your heart good. And have you some JC espresso or iced coffee over in the coffee cart.

What: Tenth annual “Tour de Timor” bike ride fundraiser
for Madison’s sister-city of Ainaro, East Timor, with special guests
State Representative Spencer Black and radio personality Mel, from
WORT’s popular Friday afternoon show “Mel & Floyd”
When: Sunday, May 17, starting at 1:00 pm (rain date May 24)
Where: Start at the WORT Block Party (at the corner of Bedford and
Doty Streets), and ride around Lake Monona (approx. 13 miles)
